His UK tour had included venues around the UK from Glasgow in Scotland to St Ives in Cornwall, his birth town of Liverpool, Cardiff in Wales to the legendary 100 Club in London, where guitar greats such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck had played to great reception and Laurence’s gig went down brilliantly with his fans.

The first half of his set in Leicester included most of the tracks from the Destination Unknown album including Anywhere With Me (the first single from the album), Can’t Keep You from Loving You, Give Me That Feeling, Gave It All Away, and Tonight.

The band members have assisted with some of the songs for this album with Holding Back written by Laurence Jones and his fiancé Amy Eftekhari about their blossoming relationship and life together. It also included the second single from the album I won’t Lie Again.

The title track Destination Unknown was written by Laurence Jones and keyboardist Bennett Holland with its James Bond theme style and haunting tune.

This song was followed by fan favourite the Laurence jones anthem, and the first song he wrote aged 18, the bluesy Thunder in the Sky, with the addition of the expressive keyboard playing of Bennett Holland.

Then for those Jimi Hendrix fans a rousing rendition of Purple Haze with its classic blues guitar work and singing.

The audience wanted more and so Laurence treated the fans to two encores his own Everything is Going to be OK and then the cover Stop Moving the house.

Laurence was supported by Leicester’s Jersey Budd who gave a great set of acoustic guitar playing, singing, and harmonica with his style influenced by Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

After a short break, Laurence Jones and his band will start their tour of The Netherlands on Thursday 3rd November at Q Factory in Amsterdam. He will be returning on Saturday 3rd December back to the UK at the Looe Blues Festival in Cornwall.
